The following graph illustrates all planned activities within WP and a mutual interconnection of certain activities. The main activity of WP1 will be the overall coordination of project activities including internal coordination among researchers in the different WPs. The three WP 2, 3 and 4 will conduct jointly the first activity of data collection and analyses to provide the necessary data basis for the subsequent steps. As a synopsis of the work of WP 2, 3 and 4 adaptive forest management strategies will be developed (activity 3.6). WP 2 and 4 will provide jointly the digital site maps (activity 2.6 & 4.5). WP5 covers all activities regarding the policies and governance of “climate-smart-forestry” implementation (activity 5.1-5.5). In the near future, Serbia could become one of the hotspots of climate change in Europe and thus serve as a model for anticipating the challenges of climate change through meaningful adaptation strategies in forest management.
